About Me
Music has always been an integral part of my life. I learnt the Piano from age 6, Cornet from age 10 and I've sung in various choirs throughout and beyond high school. I began to compose my own music when I was 13 years old using Sibelius music notation software.
I studied at the NZ Broadcasting School for a Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications, originally intending to forge a career in post production. However, while working as an Assistant Editor at Shortland Street in 2018, I took an opportunity and began scoring the show, switching to becoming the in-house Composer and Music Supervisor.
My background in the NZ screen production industry gives me a unique perspective as a Composer. I have worked as a Camera Operator, Production Assistant, Vision Switcher, Assistant Editor, have edited internal corporate videos plus scenes & recaps of Shortland Street. I have worked with Directors, Producers, Audio Engineers and have collaborated with Vocalists and Instrumentalists on multiple tracks.
I use a wide array of tools to compose my music; samples, plugins, VSTs, digital & analog synths, as well as recorded Instrumentalists and Vocalists. Be sure to get in touch if you are keen to make something together! I can't wait to work with you in creating something unique.
